Jenna Fischer's most recognizable part is as Pam Beesly in the highly popular television show The Office. Fischer was awarded the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her stellar performance on an ensemble comedy.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne was a performer in church dramas when she was younger, and this instilled an enthusiasm for theatre.
She's an actress trained who returned to theater after The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has proven to be hugely successful, reaching the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads during its first two-years. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019, won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Month award for January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first novel, and details the journey she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actor professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her most beloved friend and their experience working at The Office.
