Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished public servant and businessman, is the vice president. Cheney was a familiar name on the Washington political scene. George W. Bush will be the fourth U.S. President. Bush chose Cheney to be his the vice-presidential race in July of 2000. Bush cited the experience and wisdom of Cheney. Dick Cheney was a chief of Staff to Presidents, served on the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense and served the nation in various capacities. Both Republicans as well as Democrats admire him for his honesty. Cheney says he sees his role in the Obama administration as of a frank but discreet adviser to Bush. Cheney has accepted the Republican Vice Presidential nominating in 2007 stated that his hopes were high for working under a president who is able to work across party lines and collaborate with rival political parties with goodwill and a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been married to Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family moved across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper where his dad was the head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
